In November, 2022, at Van Dusen Gardens, a luncheon gathering of the Bishop's Friends took place. This group funds the Bishop's ministries and discretionary initiatives which are not included in the Diocesan Budget. Our own Elizabeth Murray was one of the 60 Friends attending, seen here sharing a smile with Bishop John. The group heard from a delegation that had travelled to our Companion Diocese in the Northen Philippines to attend the consecration of a new bishop. The luncheon was also an opportune time to extend good wishes to retiring Executive Archdeacon the Venerable Douglas Fenton. (seen in table photo above).
