A pop-up choir of five children, aged 6-9 began the Chinese Lunar New Year celebration at St. David's, led by one of our teen parishioners.  We were treated to a musical performance by Linda Wei, using a Gu Zheng (Chinese plucked zither).  Loy Yeo, leading member of the organizing team, spoke to us of Lunar traditions, highlighting the significance of The Year of the Rabbit- abundant good fellowhip, peace, love, joy and prosperity.   Claudia Niu and her crew created tradional dumplings to add to our diverse and delicious pot luck.   We had a wonderful turn out for this, the first celebration of it's kind since the pandemic.  The organizers and kitchen crew hopped about for hours to ensure this zodiac year of abuncance began with the good luck of the legendary rabbit's foot!
